OK Guys,

i fell in love with the new imacs and need your help.

first of all i am not sure bout getting the 21,5 inch, or the 27 inch. it is huge you know. Ok nothin against papis dick, but still huge.

but say i get the 27 inch now problems start:

3,06 GHZ Core 2 Duo and ATI Radeon HD4670(256 RAM) OR 2,66 GHZ Intel Core i5 with ATI HD 4850(512 RAM)

clock speed on the processor is lower but i guess since it is quad core it is still better?
The price difference between the two is 450 bucks here in Germany. Is it worth it? Please tell me sth bout the processors and the grapics card.

I can upgrade the graphics card in the first imac for 200 bucks. So its 200 bucks for the card, and another 250 bucks for the better processor. What ya think?

Is the first enough? Take all spare money and spend it on hookers or should i upgrade graphics card and or processor?

Depends what exactly you will be using the mac for apart from general web browsing. Planning to play a lot of games?any video/photoshop work etc?

if you plan on playing alot of games you should go with the better one however if it is going to be used most to browse the net then dont waste money on extra stuff, really for games nowadays you want atleast 512mb video card and shader module 3 or better other wise alot of new games wont play or will be choppy as shit and unenjoyable

No, sometimes i put some videos of the camcorder on the computer but we can neglect that, as it works on my combo right now(core 2 duo 2ghz and gforce 8600) and i do that maybe 5 times a year so i dont care how long it takes.

Gaming right now i play AA only, but when im in the mood i like playing some stuff, Some shooters, far cry, or need for speed, when my cousin comes to visit, i like to kick his ass in fifa or nba games.
AA3 runs on my computer now, so it should get better with any of the newer imacs, shouldn´t it?

i used to do some shit with photoshop, was even pretty good with it, but i dont remember when i did that last time.

Basically most of the time i do lots of calculations with excel, and gaming.

Nothing demanding then, 3 choices:
First: 21.5" screen with the 3.06ghz core 2 duo and the 4670
Second: If you want the 27" screen then upgrade to the 4850 but leave in the core 2 duo, you won't need a quad.

If you fall out of love with them you can build a much higher spec pc for cheaper then the new imacs and in the long term there easier to upgrade, although the imacs look very very very nice, seen the 27" one at college and

MAC has only like 2% of the computer market because they are so kick ass, or they are just overpriced and overrated?
