I have 4 guys in my crew at 99% and one of em just got to 100%. It says there is a new skill available, but how do I see what it is or does it choose automatically?

For your first secondary skill give them all the same thing wait till you pick your third or fourth skill to specialize each crew member

oh ok... I gave 4 of them camo, dead eye for the gunner and eagle eye (which i think sucks for arty) for the commander. Taking that one off right now and i will switch it to camo as well then. Thanks for the advice!

ok, ok..... I am hearing some controversy over training multiple guys in the same perk....

On my T4 M7 Priest I have 4 training camo, 1 doing 6th sense, and the gunner getting deadeye....

Someone tells me training 4 guys in the same perk is worthless and they do not stack up, that its a total waste of time. If this is true I dont mind paying some gold to switch it, but I wanna do it before they get to 100% on this first secondary skill.

Advice, thoughts???

The camo was determined by total of crew training in camo and the properties of the net and distance from bushes/trees etc. I am not sure if it changed under the new physics and game design.

Personally I would stay with it especially in a SPG or TD.

one thing I think I have noticed is that with these guys training (all camo) is that an enemy tank can be like 70 feet away and never see me in a bush, even if it's just half way....people seem to be quite amazed that they never saw me. I just don't understand the thinking or game mechanics so here I am asking for clarification.

According to the official game manual.

Camo Skill:
Reduces vehicle visibility. Effective skill level is averaged across the entire crew. The skill is more effective when combined with Camouflage Net.


So, according to that, the more crew members are skilled in Camo, the better hidden you will be.

I believed it. So I went ahead for my first "Skill Training" for all crew members to studying Camouflage Skills.

But you have to keep in mind that the percentage of camo is only minute until your crew reaches 100%. For instance if your crew trained to 100% gives you say 10% more camo ability then that same crew at 94% training will only give you a fraction of that , something like less than 1% of the camo ability. None of your perks give you any advantage until they reach 100%.

The ability you have now is all due to the game mechanics, which have more or less completely changed with the 8.0 patch. This game is almost a totally different game than what is was when i started playing over a year ago. Keep an eye on the web site and you can see the changes in every patch, they may not seem like much but they're actually tremendous when you actually get into the game.

Gorilla, one thing to keep in mind with the manual is that the game itself updates faster than the manual, use the manual as a basic guide for the game but remember that it's not written in stone. You'll usually get better info if you surf the forums than reading the "official" game info. This community is different than other games i've played, you'll see a lot of times that bugs are fixed by the users before the devs find a fix. In patch 7.1 there was a memory leak that the devs couldn't get fixed, it only affected 32 bit systems but in the gaming world that is a large portion of players. The fix came from an IT tech that had seen a similar problem in his business. actually the devs still haven't gotten a fix for it yet they just took out the maps that used the largest amount of memory and caused the most probs for players. this community seems to be more attuned to this game than the AA community was. But with that said you have more registered users with this game than AA ever had.
