| It's that time of year again and I'm looking for recommendations of great horror flicks. And I don't mean the kind where it just a bunch of guys getting their eye's pulled out via paperclips, or being disemboweled by a KFC spork, I mean scared out of your fucking mind horror flicks.
You know, the even though I'm over 40 years old I can't sleep because I saw a scary movie and I'm convinced there is a Satanic fire breathing dragon living under my bed kinda scared. Like the first time you saw The Amityville Horror movie kinda scared. Or does this not exist anymore?

| the original Exorcist is a classic.
Wrong Turn was pretty good
Paranormal Activity 2 was much better than the 1st one, and 3 looks like it will be real good.
The Omen series is always a thriller, especially the 3rd and final one where you hear the stuff Sam O'Neil says while sodomizing an effigy of Jesus.
the Shining is a classic. (redrum redrum)
Hostel: while categorized as a splatter flick, the premise of it is scary.
Event Horizon falls under the "screw you up for life" category
Rosemarys Baby is a classic.
Silence of the Lambs: classic and perfect Anthony Hopkins
The Ring: SCARY AS FUCK imho
and my personal favorites, which are actually splatter flicks, but the premise is scary as hell,,, the SAW series

| I always loved the original Nightmare on Elm Street series. The new Nightmare was pretty good but Robert England IS Freddy and it just aint the same without him.
I also loved the Hellraiser series, i'm a big Clive Barker fan.
