Ha! SSD in there too, I hope? My machine's due for an upgrade but I'm hoping to put it off for another year.
I think DocMacabebe and I are the only forum denizens on AAPG at the moment. It's unfortunate that's the case, though; it's a solid game, especially when you get a server where everybody has low ping.
I was a pretty darn solid tanker when I was still playing WOT:
http://www.noobmeter.com/player/na/BCPull/1003622030/but I left feeling like the game had too many pay-to-win aspects to it. "Premium" shells, gold account, expendable items... it got frustrating.
WOT does have a few things going for it. It's a server-side-only game, so historically there haven't been very many cheats available to the game. (But, yes, it has happened that people have figured out how to create a few anyway.) It's also fairly resistant to network problems and lag, since the gameplay is fairly slow. I remember a lot of matches where I'd basically sit in one spot for 10 minutes waiting for the enemy to try to advance.
As for BF4? Well, I'm just tired of giving EA more money. It's also come out that BF4 has a tick rate of only 10Hz, which is quite low for DM-style play.
I play for a different group in AAPG right now (we're tied for first in the Winter League TWL tournament
), but I'm always happy to show people around & discuss maps/strategy/etc. The only thing AAPG is missing right now is a bigger player base.
