help me get my game on(you know u want to)

I've allways been a newb at tech stuff so........ I was wondering if someone could befriend me and help me get AA 2.85 running? Ive tried to do the loader and the upgrades and the loader wont work and the upgrades wont work right..... I can get to 2.84 just fine but 2.85 wont work at all........

any help offered would be yummy! and i could explain what ive tried on vent ......... hit me up! im on now just start yelling HELLOOOOOOOOO! if i dont say hey back right away!

--- if you can get to 2.84 with no problems-- it should be the 2.85 update that's giving you problems-- did you unzip that file into your aa folder? -- (and overwrite the files it asks to? )

But now I keep getting PB kicked..... I think I need to re-register my taggs?
is the tag password the same?

I cant seem to get the update to 2.8.5 to work with windows 7 even with the backward compatibibliity feature ............

too many cheladas and too many herbals

Which update are you talking about, exactly? Are you trying to manually update PB? If so, you need to change the compatibility mode and set it to run as admin, as well as doing the same for armyops.exe, otherwise it won't work. Also, check that your firewall is not blocking either of them.

It's not an automated update, just unzip that file in your aa folder.

so the problem that I am having now is that punkbuster is not suported by windows7? point me in the right direction please

I'm runnin win 7 right now.. works fine for me.. have you tried the deploy client?

you have to right click on the exe file and run as admin or you will get kicked everytime cause pb won't start up. I had that problem when i got my new laptop. hope that helps.

RGR that. On Vista? I have to load Run my Ventrilo as an Admin in-order for it to work for me.

is it bad if i have 12 entries in the punkbuster registry? every time i try and register my tag the number go's up

deleted the file regname.dat in the pb folder and the tag registration process worked the first time after that! Thanks C-Man!!
