| the clip isnt bad or nasty at all. It's a very interesting attempt for someone to try and withstand the effects and lets just say it only lasts a couple seconds | |

| The physiological aspect of invoking a psychological reaction is very powerful. The water entering the nose and sinus cavity causes the need to blow the invading water out. To last longer, you need to be able to ignore the water in the nose and sinus, and breath though the mouth. You also need to exhale as completely as possible to force the remaining co2 out of your lungs, so the co2 sensor doesn't overload your ability to think rationally. Your mind does not have an oxygen sensor. Instead, it has a carbon dioxide sensor that tells the body to breath no matter what. Inverted, the co2 in the lungs (which is heavier than o2) tells the heart to beat faster to move what little o2 there is in the system, to the vital organs (brain). The heart speeds up, the co2 sensor invokes panic (hyperventilation) and the mind quickly loses the ability to reason. Some subjects will "fake" giving up just to get some air. Then when it's stopped, they will refuse to talk. That's when the treatment lasts a little longer each time after the subject drops the weight. If a subject fakes and refuses too often or for to long, they don't give him a weight to drop.
The cocky little fucker didn't understand what was involved when he made that bet. All he had on the line was a couple of dollars. Imagine if he thought his very life was on the line. When he dropped the weight, he would have sold his mother to the nazi's to get some air.
