| hey im curious, i was looking at the system requirements for this game. my desktop is kinda old got it back in 05 its a amd athlon processor. the game requires a 2.0ghz processor and mine is 2.41 so does the kind of processor matter as long as my speed meets the requirments? | |

| Check the recommended specs for the game, never go by the minimum specs, you'll be better off. If a 2Ghz cpu is the minimum, it will play, but not well. | |

| In regards to graphics problems with the newer or newest games, update your graphics card. I've got an ATI Radeon 6950 from MSI that has 2Gb DDR5 ram on it. I run BFBC2 on the highest graphics setting without any problem. | |

| Always a good thing, especially against the 'Quake kiddies', that don't have enough mentality to function as a member of a combat team. | |

| If you are going to upgrade anything-- make it the vid card..
the CPU speed will make some difference - but mainly in opening up game/loading the map ...
Not sure what ur budget is......

| I use a ATI Radeon 5770 - im guessing its probably one of the cheaper cards that can run battlefield on high settings.
For anyone else wanting a worthwhile upgrade, I recommend using a SSD instead of a HD for Windows/programs. Windows loads in under 40 seconds and programs open instantly. They are expensive, around $130 for a 60GB drive but they are worth the money. I couldnt go back to using a HD for an operating system.
The good news is that the prices are falling, I paid £150 for mine last March but now there are faster drives available for £90

| definitely the 5770 is good and not as expensive as others, but if u low some of the settings with this card u can get more frames. Now about if u play with all on low u can se better the enemies, I dunno Ive tried but I think u lose some draw distance, or maybe its just my impression. | |
