I'm reading a book (yeah awesome...) atm., i'd like to recommend:

Hey What about the Canadians! HUH? Did you ever get to see or get a hold of a mini series movie called The Princesses Infrantry. Its about how the Canadians hlep liberate "Italy", once that was done. All the big dignitaries from Amercia, France, Italy all had a big party, but not 1 Canadian was invited, they Canadians went on to liberate France, and then Holland. And if you ask the dutch about the Canadians they will tell you. Every year all the school children will go out to the cemetary and give thanks for all the lives that were lost durning the 2nd world war and they give special thanks to the Canadians.

My daddy was there and told me lots. My bro in law bought a book about the 2nd world war and just after arrival in England, my dad and 2 others were lighting a cigarette, my dad took the 3rd light off the match that is when the photographer snapped th pic. My dad turned pale white looking at it and said he rememberd it well.

Ah.. memories fade, but books are ageless!


Going to go to kindle and see if they have it..

i just remember seeing a docu last week:

Thunderbolt pilots talked about attacking Tiger Tanks in the ETO.
For them taking out a Tiger was easiest if they came in low, from the back
and putting their rounds into the ground right infront of the underbelly of the tank.
They bounced off the ground and ripped the tank open from bellow as there was no armor to speak of.
