World of Battleships

As you know I been taking a break, haven't turned the pic on much in the last week or so. Anyhow I checked my email today and I have my invite to the closed beta for World of Battleships. Downloading as we speak, I'll give some opinions tomorrow.

oh damn that looks like a blast!

Its interesting. 20min rounds, the interesting part is the fighting. It's definitely a thinking mans game. You have to judge distance, motion, and elevation to hit your target. IMO it's more like playing WoT with nothing but arty on the map.

The reticle moves up and down depending on the distance, ships way out there are the biggest challenge. As you try to zoom in the reticle will move up on the screen so you have to somewhat judge your shot kinda like arty, but you have to give a bigger lead when they are moving because the battle takes place at a distance of miles instead of a few meters. You also have to aim above the ship your shooting at to make sure you get the correct elevation when you fire.your shells are not shooting like in a tank or gun, instead they are lobbed in an arch like arty. Its interesting, you have more variables to consider than playing the games we are used to.
